There is a particular magic - and fragility - to an English summer. This exquisite collection of images by Chanel Irvine - taken between 2020 and 2022 against the tumultuous backdrop of Brexit fallout and the pandemic - captures the unique, tender mood of a time when many of us rediscovered the gentle beauty of England’s landscape. From Kent to Devon, from Cornwall to Shropshire, Chanel traversed the country encountering familiar sights such as chip-hungry seagulls, ice-cold waves and battered thermos flasks, yet somehow seeing them afresh.
